Good day.
I recently purchased several boxes of your jazz tenor sax reeds with the specific intent of aging the reeds for a couple decades prior to playing them. When the reeds arrived, I discovered that you have the new fresh-from-the-factory sealed plastic wrapper. That made me wonder, ‘which is better, an aged reed or a factory-fresh one?’ So, that is my question to you, which is better?
Would the reed be even better if I unwrapped it and aged it for 30 or so years? Are there other reeds of yours that are better suited for aging?

I uploaded a bunch of great oldies. There’s some Saratoga Springs High School Jazz Band video from 1998 and 1999. There is James Cooley Quintet, JCQ, vids. The entire Nov. 2, 2002 USCGA Leamy Hall Chicos’ Groove gig is uploaded in its performed order. As Sean Plankey put it, ‘It’ll be the best concert you’ll ever see in your life.’ That was a hell of a time.

Neptunus Lex’s worst day ever. For inconsequential reasons, I looked in my blog in search of an old picture, finding Lex’s comments. I was reminded of this linked story, which I just re-read, and am again saddened about.
